More pics of Blue, the rescue pit bull

Some recent pics of Blue, our new rescue pit bull.

The first two are my favorites. Composition and black and white works great at the top one, the other is a nice slice of everyday dog life and the photo of my other dog on the wall adds a nice touch and perhaps a bit of a story: this is a dog sleeping a house where dogs are most welcome! :)

By technical standards, most of the above photos suck. I doubt stock photography sites would even look at them. Too much shadow, noise, soft focus, missed focus, unconventional framing, etc.

Doesn't matter. I still like them.

All pics taken either with my Nikon D5100 with 35mm 1.8 lens or Nikon Df with 50mm 1.8 lens.

Check out my SmugMug site for more of my work, prints and licensing info. To save 20 percent on the cost of a SmugMug account, please click here. SmugMug lets you customize your page and sell prints and licenses -- unlike, for example, Flickr. I also think photos look better on SmugMug than Flickr or Facebook due to the way those sites compress big files.
