Shot this on Friday along the South Fork of Bishop Creek in California's Eastern Sierra. God forbid that Sammy should smile when everything else in the frame is otherwise working -- especially the nice cloud break over the Sierra crest. :)
The photo was taken with my new, take-no-prisoners Nikon df and the Nikon 18-35mm 3.5 lens, the cheapie in Nikon's wide-angle zoom collection. As usual, I shot in RAW and processed in Lightroom 5. Quite frankly, these pics from the df don't need a lot of work if you expose them well.
Check out my SmugMug site for more of my work, prints and licensing info. To save 20 percent on the cost of a SmugMug account, please click here. SmugMug lets you customize your page and sell prints and licenses -- unlike, for example, Flickr. I also think photos look better on SmugMug than Flickr or Facebook due to the way those sites compress big files.
