Playing around with the Nikon Df at the Venice Beach skate park last weekend. The focus system is quick -- easy to capture shots of the skateboarders, who are most photogenic.
The first and last shots are my favorites although I really like the one in which you just see the guy's head. Even though you can't see the skateboard, I like the photo makes you think for a moment to realize what the guy is doing. Even in the top shot -- perhaps the best of this bunch -- the skateboard is only barely visible.
All shots taken in RAW and processed using Lightroom and VSCO film simulation presets. (Here's my mini-review of the presets from last year).
Check out my SmugMug site for more of my work, prints and licensing info. To save 20 percent on the cost of a SmugMug account, please click here. SmugMug lets you customize your page and sell prints and licenses -- unlike, for example, Flickr. I also think photos look better on SmugMug than Flickr or Facebook due to the way those sites compress big files.
