Shot these for work as part of Metro's speed dating on the subway event held earlier this month. The top photo was for the agency's monthly brochure, the rest for the event.
The light on the subway is tough -- it's kind of a ghastly yellow/green. So I convert them to black-and-white. I tried the last shot in color. Not bad, but I like the B/W better.
The photos were shot with my Nikon Df and a rental Nikon 85mm 1.4D lens -- it was good to have something a little longer so I could shoot people talking from a distance. This is the second time I've rented the lens (from Samy's in Pasadena) and I really like it. Very sharp and nice overall character although it's pretty easy to miss focus shooting wide open.
