This was my best shot of the day -- a simple, uncluttered composition that hints at the international breadth of the Games. I'm not sure I've nailed the processing yet (might be a little dark). But it's close.
Some of these I like better in black-and-white -- especially the ones taken in low light. Even though I was shooting with a camera good in low light (Nikon Df), I was using my cheapo and slow telephoto, a Nikon 70-300. Other photos do better in color because -- hey! -- it was a pretty colorful event.
