A wide variety of DSLR pics in no particular order from my recent road trip through Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming back to L.A. I rarely spent a lot of time making any particular image, but usually had a camera with me to capture any interestingness encountered.
The sixth image -- the one of the tiny car on the tiny ramp on Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon taken from the passenger seat -- is my favorite. Mostly because it's different and not a super obvious picture to take.
I think the other image that stands out is the crowd fire hose shower on the 4th of July in Hailey, Idaho. The photo has a nice Americana feel without being too cluttered and the girl in the forefront has a striking pose that grabs the eye.
The rodeo pics work for me, too -- lots of context, some action and not the usual telephoto closeups that you've seen a million times before. I shot most of the images that night with either a 28mm or 50mm lens, hoping to take in the big scene.
See the entire gallery on my SmugMug site. All my iPhone Hipstamatic pics from the trip are in this earlier post.
